DC-10 vs. Navajo

@MikeD Who makes the P-15, and are there comparable trucks like that (in terms of size/capacity) today?

Made by Oshkosh, and a few are still in use to this day, though no comparable size truck has been built.

The other big change is automation & remote control, and vision equipment to see through fog & smoke. One person can drive, joy-stick both a high cannon and a close-to-the-ground cannon to get at fires under the wing & fuselage, gear, etc.

The guy on top of the Oshcosh Big Dipper must freeze his B'Goshes off in heavy sleet & wind!

Why is that? I would think with the size of aircraft we have flying around they would want to have all the extra water and foam available. Also, what is the amount of foam/water mix you get out of that? It mixes together and expands or something right? Or am I just crazy? Thanks
