Day rate.. Multi turbine?

Eh, Gulfstream guys and gals undercut each other also, just like all the other "pilots helping pilots" out there. I've tried to pick up a couple trips here and there during time off, and get undercut every time.

I haven't been on PPW in years...what's going on over there?

Internationally, it's supposed to be $1300-1500 per day the last time I looked at it. I haven't tried in a while due to low balling scum.

Gulfstream types are too expensive to contract for peanuts!

With the industry being in our favor, there should be little need to low ball!

Unfortunately,

Pretty much lets anybody with a wet commercial fly right seat domestic. They tend to be willing to do it for chump change too.
Recurrent in my airplane is ~$30,000. Some places are a little less, but you get the idea. I'm only dealing with international issues. I haven't tried to do much domestic in a while, but most times it is an international trip, so 61.55 doesn't really come into effect.

The type rating requirements are spelled out in 61.55d - but there Are so many loopholes in 61.55(d) (whether real or perceived) that there are lots of (SIC) typed pilots out there with little formal training. Those are the ones who jump on $400/day g450 flights.

We used to get people who would bring their "copilot" into recurrent with them. It was clear that they didn't have any time in the plane once in the sim... Ghetto fab, but- hey it's a jet right? Magically when they came back next year they had an SIC that was about 11 months old
