Is it no longer a lifetime warranty? I sent in my headset a week back and now got an e-mail saying I need to pay them $60 because my headset is older than five years. I sent in my headset last year as well (it was older than five years then too) and they didn't charge me a thing.

I thought the whole advantage to purchasing DC was for the warranty!

I'm not sure it ever was a life time warranty. I think they were always good about fixing them and not charging...maybe the economy is hitting them too.

I thought it was a 5 year. again, not 100% sure

Got a pair of 1989 model year DC H-10-80s. Just needs a new head pad, but still works like a champ.

Be prepared to wait. I sent my DC's in to replace the rusty stirrups and they told me it would be a 10-14 day turnaround ended up waiting 6 weeks.

A few years ago I sent in a 10 year old set. They indicated the refurb would be $100. I called them and the rep made it free gratis with no return shipping when I cried about being a poor student pilot.
