Ahhh memories. 1986 ZBW. If I remember correctly there was somewhere in the vicinity of 400+ intersections and a 100 or so Navaids.

Did the make make you draw your map tests by giving you a protractor, ruler, and a blank piece of paper with one dot on it representing a VOR in your area? The old timers at ZMP said that's how it used to be there, one even showed me her original map test..she kept it. Yuck.

They did. The paper was approximately 3.5 ft x 3.5 ft with a crudely drawn VOR depicted in the center. Took about 2.5 hours or so to recreate the whole map.

Got one selfimportant holding a conference call with 6 people, one idiot on speaker phone (in his ratty shorts, flip-flops, Oakleys perched on his head) talking loudly about some legal BS, and another screaming in his phone like the two phones are attached by a string.

Local restaurant... No I did not eat here.
Every morning these guys would be sleeping in dirt under cardboard and I assume work in the port.
I didn't get a chance to do any fishing.
Flying over a local shanty town. I think most work at a quarry near by.
Walking around downtown was always interesting. A homeless guy on the sidewalk would watch the car for a few francs. Growing up in NYC I'm used to people having their hustle to get by.
I have more pics I'll post when I get home.
