Blast from the past of SFO T3 6 years ago. That evening some kind of dispatching error grounded all United's 757s for a few hours, which is why so many are on the gates, including the Oprah Winfrey 757 last on the left. Most of these birds are retired or flying for FedEx now. The former FAA towers are gone now.

That's a great photo, thanks for sharing. As you know, those are still our "757 gates," but there usually a max of 3 or 4 there at a time now since we parked so many of them. On that note the latest from recurrent (rumor of course) is the 757/767 fleet will be around for 5+ more years until an adequate replacement is available. While the 737 MAX-10 is on order, it still can't do things like Stockholm-EWR and DEN-KOA, etc.

I can’t fathom how the Sands Flight Department is a money making endeavor. Those whales must drop some serious cash.

A friend of mine has flown one of those whales before. Story has it that the guy lost $3M over a weekend and the casino sent him home on my friend's charter instead of the casino's metal. If $3M doesn't get you on a 747SP, I'm not sure what will.

3m doesn’t even get you on the “house metal.” Wow.

Consistency, that's what will get you a ride on it.
If you're a big money loser over and over they'll be happy to give you and some of your deep pocket friends a ride any time you want!
