Below sea level on the altimeter in MSY the other night.
Isn't NOLA always below sea level? I seems to recall a problem a few years back...

The city is, the airport elevation is a couple feet above S.L. according to the chart, if I recall. I just thought it was interesting because I hadn't seen the altitude tape display 'NEG' yet.

Brought a 206 into Con Expo to 1) introduce GA to construction companies and 2) hopefully identify sales leads. I do piston sales for the pacific NW and flew the plane in.

I wish, I miss that tower. Both the old ramp tower(built with the terminal in 1954) and the old FAA tower from I think 1983 are closed and being torn down. I work in a different ramp tower now. But man, do I miss that view and sharing the office/break room with the FAA. Lots of fun. But as @Adler said, both of them will go down with me forever etched inside them.

I once had pretty much that exact view but from the left base instead... in a CRJ.
Fun airport to fly into, but between the hills and the thunderstorms in the summer, and the goofy offset LDA leading to a huge runway hump on 6 in the winter, it was... interesting.
