I watched the new Air Crash Investigation about Asiana 214 last night. The first half or so of it anyway. They've really strayed away from authentic and informational to sensationalist and simplification to the point of innacurracy. Anyway, I don't remember sharing this shot after the event, sorry if I did and forgot. Wasn't accepted on any of the database sites but it captured my perspective pretty well as having this happen "down the street" from where I grew up. Look closely above the tail...or where the tail used to be before Bang Ding Ow, and you can see the Lufthansa A380 sitting at OAK across the Bay waiting for SFO to reopen. It was the first arrival when the 19s re-opened could not be accommodated on a gate for several hours. Easily 5-6 hours stuck in the plane for those folks on arrival from FRA.
