The Challenger, so easy a Gulley can land it.

Night approach into Las Vegas

Thanks @DPApilot .
This may be something you don't realize, but I know @Derg understands. As i said to Gail many times that night; for me, this is my job. No matter what, I'm eventually flying this leg. If I can bring friends or people who want to be in my position some day, I'll do whatever it takes to share what I do with them. It was really cool to have you in the jumpsuit for takeoff and landing, but to see Gail's reaction to sitting up there in cruise and asking questions made the entire trip for me.

This reason is why I am on Jetcareers. Too many have done something like this for me before, and it feels absolutely amazing to do that for someone else.

Strangely eloquent for a man of your years. Well said.
You've captured the secret to life and you're holding it captive until someone is intuitive enough to ask for the key.

I can't recall the last time I saw a major airline 737 with eyebrow windows.

You inspired Gail to do something with all his ratings. I brought him along hoping it would, and you guys did it. Can't put a price on that, it's like you said. Gotta bring up the homies. That's pretty much a direct interpretation of the "secret" to success that successful people have always preached to me. Hell, stuff like that really encourages me to stop the ground-work crap and just start moving on with entertainment. A taste of the finer things is like a taste of @Maximillian_Jenius. You never go back.

@bucksmith is right, the whole concept really is the secret to life.

Gail is a good guy, we flew as a flight of 2 to mojave with a couple other friends to see spaceship one when I was a brand new private pilot :). Glad he could have one of those inspirational moments, some very well timed ones for me got me to where I am now!

Most of ours have been retrofitted and our new deliveries don't have them, however the few airplanes that we have leased have not been modified as well as some old -700s and -900s that are going away soon.

Damn. There are "old" 900s now? My perspective of time is starting to get all warped in my mid 30s.

Looks like NAC has them on their -200s.

I said MAJOR airlines. :D

Seems weird, they didn't come out that terribly long ago. But we have some -900s that were the first off the assembly line that cannot be modified with winglets for some reason (something to do with wing structure) and I've heard they're wanting them gone sooner than later.

Interesting. Isn't the winglet fuel savings something less than 1%? I guess the bean counters know what they're doing though.

Not sure what the original winglet fuel savings are but they told us adding the split scimitars to them adds something like 1.6% so I would think the original blended winglet is more but who knows. I'll fly whatever they put on it.

I guess they don't find you very sexy.
Erbil, Iraq (Kurdistan) and Baghdad, Iraq. Probably the coolest thing I've done in my career. These were taken back in August.

I love your pics from the sandbox. I'm still waiting to see an Iraqi jet registered YI-ATA
