Much better in Dutch Harbor yesterday than the other day.

Then I was like:
A clear winters night in Seattle by ChasenSFO, on Flickr
What's more interesting was the double date I was on with the girl who was leaving me and a potential local candidate. What an effed up trip that was. Glad I could grab a beer with @SurferLucas and @mikecweb for a quick hour or so at least, one of the highlights of the whole thing.
Sometimes I scratch my head at the situations you end up in. But they can be highly entertaining! Awesome pics BTW.

Edited a few more of airplanes landing on the 01s at SFO on 12/30/14. Man, what a great day that was, all around...

United 757-300 turning to line up with runway 1R at SFO by ChasenSFO, on Flickr
The CRJ-700 ahead could barely get off the runway this 757-300 cut the base leg so close-in. Damn, that was awesome. The A380 is waiting for an uber-rare 01R departure.

United 777-200 N290UA sunset landing on 01R at SFO by ChasenSFO, on Flickr
A puff of smoke as the pilots jock the throttle in the gusty winds as this 777 comes screaming over million dollar homes in the Millbrae hills at sunset. Up until the JAL 777 before this guy, all the heavies opted for the 28s. But a 40 knot x-wind insured they all start using the 01s in the very last light of the day. Took this from my old High School, I used to cut class and run down to the Millbrae BART garage to watch the few times I would get dropped off while they were using the 01s.

American 757-200 N649AA banking for a rare landing on 01R at SFO by ChasenSFO, on Flickr
Steep bank and a dive for this American 757-200, took this one from up in the hills about 1 mile from the airport, but in a few seconds this jet was eye-level!
