Well if it is a GoPro on a stick, United pilots must have a lot of pictures like these, 'cause their radios always sound like they're flying with the window open! :D

But seriously, the shadow reflection on the side looks like stuff on the ground, but the cloud reflection on the top is really good. And just what is that in the lower left-hand corner above the nose?

GoPro on a stick would be most fun, but I'm afraid not. It was taken at the gate just after we landed, the light was gorgeous and I wanted a fun shot with that monster of a storm in the background. One of those times when the captain is happy to do the walk around ;)

Sunrise into Ottawa a few days ago, it's fog season again and the RVR was down to 900 and 1/8sm so we couldn't even try the approach with the level of service/approach ban in place, ended up diverting to Montreal.
 
Another of Jon Staudacher's self-designed and built machines; this seaplane was built mostly out of “spare parts laying around”, including a Hobie Cat sailboat mast as the float spreader bars.
