daily pic

Got fully certified in the new tower today, as a controller, anyway. Completed a 6-week course in 1 week. :) Some interesting pics from the last 2 or 3 shifts.

Air France A380 vs. Flock of seagulls.

2 Air France A380s at SFO at once. The one in the background was on time, the one in the foreground was delayed over 24 hours for MX. There weren't enough rooms and about 100 people ended up having to sleep in the terminal. This was the first time an A380 ever went off gate A1.

All 3 Alaska Disney liveries came into my ramp at once today! Creamed myself pretty good.

While studying for my MIFR these past few weeks I have managed to browse through this entire thread, all 537 pages of it haha. I am proud to say that this morning I passed my MIFR flight test in this bad boy.

Congrats... but it looks like you flew in Wonder Woman's airplane. Try fixing the coding maybe?

Two of my friends are flying for them now, they both enjoy the company
Rare to hear an SY pilot without a Minnesotan accent. Despite all the growth over the years, they really are Minneapolis's hometown airline. I'd imagine it's a great place to fly if you're from that neck of the woods.

From the sounds of it they are treated pretty well, they are both from Pinnacle/mesaba whatever it is now. One of my two friends went from left seat to a right seat and took a big cut in pay but he said it was worth it to work for a company where everybody knows everybody. Not to mention he is home a lot more often and also gets some interesting destinations. He's been to South Africa and Cuba with them.

I'm truly happy for those dudes.
