Well, suffice it to say that it's extremely rare to find an owner that's willing to continue flying a Jetstar these days. There's one here in NorCal that is in absolutely beautiful cosmetic condition, but as I understand it, they couldn't justify the cost of making it RVSM compliant and eventually it just became too much of a financial loss to operate. Been parked for so long it breaks my heart.

A gorgeous blue and chrome Jetstar came into TEB when I was there, my jaw dropped!

This one is from Florida. They said the owners realize how cool the plane is, and have no plans of retiring it. Looked like the interior had been kept up nicely, they even have that TV screen with the moving map.

Hell, if I had ridiculous cash reserves, I'd probably rock the Jetstar. It truly is rare in the corporate world for an owner to retain an airplane like this primarly on its sex appeal.

No idea. Our owner didn't go through it, he lost interest when they told him to put booties on. Never mind that just before that myself, several other pilots and a few MX guys, people who could never afford their own plane, were allowed to march through it with no mention of booties at all.
