OMG you guys are giving me a freaking tick right now... It STILL has TR issues which make it so much more interesting :/ The inverter spikes are "better" except now the inverters freak the autopilot out so it kicks off NAV mode with no warning and is completely random. Yep, she is still a gem...

Yeah it did that nav mode stuff back in the day. It's stint in columbia is mostly to blame. Turn off one inverter if it's starts acting really bad and that clears it up.

Ya we have been doing that. It is crazy to hear that this plane has had these squawks forever lol.
I'm not exaggerating when I say probably close to 50k has been spent trying to chase that. Thing needs to just be rewired from scratch. Or donated to an A&P school.

Ya I know both inverters have been changed, the paralleling box etc etc. Nothing has fixed it. All of our 55s have issues like that too.

The best is when you taxi out on a fresh start for the day, and the left unlock light goes on momentarily. It makes me look forward to the takeoff that much more.

If you drive far enough down Boca Chica Road in Brownsville, Texas, the border fence just stops. A quick turn off it and onto another derelict road allows full access to the Rio Grande and Mexico. Note the Mexican "fisherman" just across the river.
