Oh gotcha. Dang, 14 hr duty day in the corporate world? I thought only the airlines were bad. Shows what I know about corporate I guess.

Part 91 flights don't have duty limits. I've done 14 hours flying in a day under 91. The key is to not have an employer that does trips like that regularly.

Or, if you're in a management position, set the tone from day one that these kinds of things are unacceptable.

I can't stand the chief pilots for companies or individuals that are new to aircraft ownership that pretend like 14+ hour duty days and/or 8+ hours of flying is OK. You can't back pedal from the initial operating standards you set.

Covered a co-workers G1000 King Air for the last few days while he was on vacation. Great flying airplane with avionics 1,000 times better than my lear 35.

Did a preflight like all good pilots do...
The sump kept dripping, so I took a closer look. Short story long, the gasket in the sump-bolt was keeping the valve open.
I ended up draining 16 gallons (thankfully a friend was with me to help out). Found a replacement sump-bolt, only to discover the threads are striped in the tank hose/port.
I'm taking it in tomorrow to have a fuel flow meter installed, so I was planning on 'downing' her. But,it's funny how you catch things..
