Flew into Ketchikan. I was surprised how much that town thrives on those cruise ships. We were up there for 4 days and like clockwork that place turns into a ghost town around 5:30pm when the ships set sail. You live up there?

You should see it in the winter. Better than half of those shops (all the jewelry stores) shut down for the season.

Yep, I am allergic to white crew shirts so I stay in the AK. You take Alaska up or one of the corporate rigs that have infested the KTN ramp?

Yeah. Not a place I would want to live. Cold and windy all winter.

There is a reason the original town was in Dyea, always amazed at the difference 2 miles can make. Wind calm an sun in Dyea and dark and blowing 50 in Skagway.

I don't blame you, it's nice up there... Granted it was summer time though

Charter. I was surprised that Alaska runs the big jets through there. I mean I know the salmon is good, but is there really that much traffic going in and out of Ketchikan?
