^^ Sure would love to hear those JT3's sing. Can't they reverse the inboards in-flight for rapid descents? Don't know why, but I've always had a strange attraction to the DC-8.

Thanks! The canyon is Antelope Canyon, it's on a Navajo reservation just outside Page, AZ. The Pterodactyl thing is at the visitors center at the Glen Canyon dam, also by Page.
Peter Lik has done a lot of work there, and that is exactly what I thought of when I saw your photo. Nice Job.

Took this young man for his first ride ever tonight, now he says he wants to get his pilot's license when he gets old enough... got a few more years to go. I'm not sure if I'm proud or ashamed for hooking youth on aviation.

This is from last year. Alaska 6 landing in the night time fog at DCA.

Nice shot.

My wife and I ride our bikes to Gravelly Point a lot when it's nice out and you guys are flying the river southbound.

You get a real appreciation for pilots who fly flatter approaches.

Thanks. The FO I was flying with last week damn near about took out the soccer goal in that field there. At least it was probably appreciated by the photographers standing by the approach lights.

Wow. Those soccer goals move around a lot, but where they usually are is a good 50-75 yards from the fence, and then from there to the edge of the runway is however many yards....so he must've been a bit flat. :-)

It's funny that all the trees there are lopped off to the same height and they look funny. It's a hell of a fun place to take kids and more than a little intimidating if you've never been around big airplanes before. The MD-80s that come in are especially impressive.
