Were those taken today? If they were you flew right over me and my wife.

When I was working on my PPL my instructor took me into Blackhorse. That was my first experience landing on grass... or mud depending on how you looked at it. We also went into a little private strip just west of CKB. You basically flew up the guys driveway, hung a right at his barn and there was the runway. Midfield there was a bridge that crossed a creek and then it opened up to another field. He had a camel (the animal, not the plane) and it would always just kind of be hanging out next to the runway with the cows.

I've been doing a lot of experimenting with reloading ammo. This was taken off my GoPro.
Why video it? Something for ogreish.com if I did it wrong.
My sense of humor may not be all that great, but R Lee Ermey would be proud...

I took a TriPacer from Joplin, MO to Sturgis, MI last week (it was supposed to get to Ray, MI) and got to have a fun power loss only 120nm out from the final destination. It had already made it to Joplin from LA the week before as well but dropped off from normal to full throttle being 2000rpm, 25kts slower than cruise, and a 200fpm descent at what would be a minimum sink speed. Ended up getting lucky and diverting to an excellent airport (KIRS - Sturgis, MI) with a mechanic only 10 minutes away, UNICOM operator that answered my call within seconds, a crew car I could take overnight, and a free ride to AZO (about an hour away) when I needed to catch an airline flight out and leave the plane for a top overhaul! Good times....

Probably the ugliest airplane I have ever flown. I am still trying to figure out which war it flew in

Panel is laid out kind of weird with all of the important stuff way over there and the AI and DG front and center

Tucked in the hangar the morning after showing up at IRS the #1 cylinder compression checked at 24/85 and the other 3 weren't too impressive either.

It's not every day you get to taxi out in front of a DHC4 and then take off shorter than they do... Off in about 600' and they were about 1,000'.
