daily pic

Sorry for the poor quality. I took these pictures with my phone.

Flying from Wendover (ENV) to South Valley (U42), I was diverted to Tooele airport first and then Salt Lake International.

Ahhh good old SW 2nd St. right at Tarpon Bend. Good times. I don't know what time you took that picture but things get crazy down there. People and cars get smacked on those tracks all the time. Traffic gets backed up and people have no where to go. The drunkies always love to try to beat the trains from the parking garage side to the bar side. Needless to say depth perception is not one of your best skills when you're trashed. Next thing you know... ding ding ding ding ding ding follow by the vvvveeeeeerrrrrrrrrrmmmmmmm vvveeeeerrrrrrmmmmmmmm. WHACK!

haha its funny you mention that, since i was there about 1 hour ago, and the drunkies were hopping onto the train while it was stopped to cross the tracks... lets just say me and my friends had some great entertainment.

p.s. the pic was taken about 1am or so, and yes i was surprised that on a monday and tuesday night the places down here were still packed with people.

Haha, it took me a minute to sack up and step out onto the glass. My dad kept teasing me saying "look at the pilot that's afraid of heights."

It's funny how pretty much all of us here (me included) are content to do steep turns 3000 feet off the ground with nothing more than a 40 year old piece of nylon and a sheetmetal door holding us in but just looking at this picture makes us wanna piss ourselves.

My new favorite picture. It's an old model 182 leaving Sugar Loaf Shores Airport in the Florida keys for a shot sight seeing trip. In the shot, I'm looking strait down the only runway, and am actually standing in the parking lot. While most airports have a secure gate, the separation here is a piece of rope.
