I miss sports. And about 30 minutes after this photo, I sent an A321neo with 22 lbs of COMAT to New York.

That was all on it.

I miss humans.

Was good to see our OPS folks kept the Christmas lights up to communicate their well-wishes ramp side from their prison desks. Certainly nice to get a shot of the company's Celtics jet before it draws short straw, like so many other jets have, and heads west. It might seem cheesy, sure, but I'm taking every day with the thought I'll wake up tomorrow and have six voicemails and 22 emails telling me to stay home indefinitely.

Oh. And THIS beast was also a pleasant sight to see and hear....

She came in to drop off more medical stuff via ANC, then headed to JFK. What a beast.

if its from Long Island , did you do @ +/- 400 ft or did you transit through JFK class bravo with Kennedy tower ?
I am looking to do it sometime next week , my plane is parked at Brookhaven .

departed from HWV on LI. Flew under the JFK B along the beach at 400’ then got a B clearance on the other side for the Hudson at 1500’. Picked up ff soon as I was airborne and it was a piece of cake.

Did you give yourself 90 degree delay vectors with a random best forward speed and slowest practical mixed in there?
 
Test flew my new G5 install today! Love that little instrument! Airgizmos mount for my iPad is in the mail for a cleaner install!

Very Nice ! , is this the basic one ? versus the one that can be switched into an HSI ?
I have an experimental and I am undecided between a G5 and a Dynon D10. I need something that can act as a Nav 2 instrument with ILS/GS capabilities ,

I’m not sure what you mean by basic... there’s Certified and non certified... mine is certified, although it does allow me to switch to HSI mode. I’ll never need it as I’m not interfacing with a NAV radio, GPS, or magnetometer. As I have it installed, it will only show current GPS track in HSI mode.

I chose this over the D10 for a couple reasons: the graphics on the G5 look more modern, and I’m using my GTX335 (ADSB transponder) to feed the required WAAS GPS data to the G5 (one less mounted antenna).

Aircraft making appearances at Logan makes me hope. We'll get through this.
To my friends at Kalitta, ...yea I think I missed out not giving that DX offer a serious consideration a few years back. Stay safe and enjoy the work. :)
