I soloed one of my students tonight. He's a retired navy officer (ship commander, not airplane driver). As a thank you for my flight training he gave me his grandfather's World War II primary flight training manual. This is freaking amazing. The military was processing so many young kids as flight cadets they published a training manual as a comic book.

This is no joke, it's a real military training manual. I was shocked to receive this as a gift. I'm going to make it a project to scan this and publish it all on my web site, but I had to share a few pages as a bit of a sneak peak.
