thanks. i was using my 50-500, hand held. that lens is a light hog, and kind of slow auto focus. so with those things, in addition to the mist and drizzle, there were a lot more throw aways than keepers. i wish they were a bit sharper.

I've worked very hard for everything in my life. It took hard work for me to be born into a family with an aviation addiction, who happens to live next to a neighbor with an even bigger addiction. The guy that owns the T-Goose in my avatar used to have a piston goose; one day he invited us to fly down to Tecumpseh, MI to hang out with a guy with an Albatross, who was going to come up to KPTK for the open house. We landed, hung out, then I got offered to ride back in the Albatross. So I got to sit in the 4 person cockpit (behind the FO) in a 2 ship Grumman seaplane formation back to our lake. Both planes landed, and parked on the shore, and we had a party :)

After a couple hours of swimming and diving, I got to ride in the Albatross for the 2 minute trip to the airport. Since it was such a short trip, I they left the big rescue door in the back open, and I stood right there.

Awesome day to say the least.

Matt, how are you doing man? I thought I recognized you. Thanks for taking a picture of my helicopter!! I bet you don't miss Det J, the only thing I miss about it is flying in on wednesday to eat yall's food, then fly home! LOL PM me
