Possible I guess. I would expect it to look more like this. I also see some damage on the tip of the one uncovered blade.

Now that I notice the damage, I think you are right. Kind of strange because the bottom of the airplane looks fine.

Something else I noticed is what appears to be saran wrap between the fuselage and the wings.

I didn't even see the saran-wrap. Maybe something that they put on to prevent the crane that plucked it off the runway from damaging it?

There looks to be some sort of paint damage behind the saran wrap on both sides-you can see down to the primer coating. Maybe its there to protect the primer coating somehow?

It isn't readily apparent in that picture, but the bottom is thrashed.
 
On the contrary, the subject is clearly properly exposed, and I like the effect of the white-out. I'm surprised and glad it's natural!
