Stuck on the beach having a few drinks again today.

Made a new friend out here too.

I guess being a supervisor at an airline sucks. I'd still trade it for less pay and flying something though!

(I'd like to keep the pay though!)

I've parked there when they were setting up for the indy race, the week of 3/11. Turning right base and coming over the fence next to the restaurant was fun. I went for the turkey club at the bar.

Downtown St. Pete is a great area - more folks should fly in. You can eat the restaurant, then walk over to the Dali Museum across the street. Pretty cool around Indy race week as well, although it will be sad without Dan Wheldon this year. He only lived about a mile from me.

Ahh! I knew it. I knew I had seen those fuel caps before on a plane before (we had a lot of RV's come through) but I couldn't remember what kind of plane. Makes sense now.
 
Randoms from the last 6 months.

Swapped into this plane. If you (previous F/O) slam the seat all the way back, it can get stuck on a rivet and require 4 mechanics and some big hammers to try to bang it out. Got swapped to a different plane when they couldnt get it to budge after an hour.


Brand new external air hoses in PHL this summer, now they look like this.


Bomb threat on a PSA flight that landed next to us in DCA. Nifty bomb robot.


LGA this summer, couldn't get air hooked up because it was already in use.


What happens when a thunderstorm blows through and pushes your plane around.


Eye protection, ear protection, pyro launcher, bird bombs, screamers. Ops guy let me fire off a few over the runway.
