daily pic

in new york for 4 days, my favorite band is playing, obvious thing to do is buy tickets off craigslist, get there early and get front row center. sadly, no dslr cameras were allowed in, and the point and shoot can get a bit noisy, but i think some turned out pretty good.

So, my newest addictions just got in this evening and I will start flying one of these beauties tomorrow morning at 8am! I will start out flying rear seat, and move to the front after a few hours....I promise more pics to come

Those are real good for a point & shoot. I hate the SLR rule at concerts.

yeah, it sucks. i saw a few people who got one in, but i didn't want to be faced with going back to the car and losing good seats as the entire field was general admission, or leave it at the door. between shutter lag, slow zoom, quick motion, and a constantly changing lighting situation, p+s is not where it's at for concerts. oh well.

Through a series of connections through work and being an airport bum, I have the opportunity to get a reduced rate for some instruction from the owner of those planes. yay networking! http://buehnairracing.com/
He was the 2007 Reno Air Race Gold T6 Class Champion. He made 3rd this year. Really nice guy. With 30 hours and a signoff, I can attend the pylon racing school at Reno next summer (step 2 is figuring out how to afford 30 hours @ 55gph). It's a huge honor to fly with this guy and I'm very flattered & humbled that the talented pilots of the T6 racing association have helped foster and facilitate the start of this training for me.

That is so awesome! He really is a great guy! My husband and I are crew on the one that gave rides this year. We hope to be racing again next year! Good luck, have a TON of fun, and hope to see you out there racing one day soon!

Those pictures weren't taken flying with OU. Im a CFI at a little flight school just south of Norman and we were just flying around. I would go to mcghee's but im not a catfish fan and i've heard their runway is sketchy.

Trying to make one of the FBO rental 172N's at MDH do a power-off flaps 40 landing. It is about a 45 degree descent angle at 65kts, and almost impossible to come in too high. This was taken by my jumpseating friend on a checkout flight in Carbondale

On the road. Heading to Scottsdale to pick up a cirrus. Waiting for the next flight from Denver. Just got the pano app. Pretty cool.

Apparently I can't upload straight from the iPhone. That sucks

If you come across a way to do it, let me know. I have an idea with the new flickr app, but haven't had time to do it. The pano app is pretty sweet
