It's been that was all my life. Hell, it used to be worse, but now I fully understand why they do this.

I grew up in the age of the "Mediterranean Fruit Fly" where Calfiornia's agricultural regions were at risk of being completely decimated from a number of sources and, quite frankly, that food being produced in the San Joaquin Valley isn't just feeding some Socal soccer mom, it's feeding a large portion of America.

One of my stews got the Nth degree in customs in Cancun last week.

A couple of years ago an AeroMexico crew member was caught carrying a large quantity of drugs into Europe. They've been a been a little nutty towards crew members in Cancun since that event.

Discovered the "enhanced security measures" in the ATL airport the other day. Needless to say it was overbearing, unnecessary, and did absolutely nothing to address the actual incident that caused the problem in the first place. I'm not surprised.

I guess the moral of the story is just wear the dang uniform if you have items that would not be permissible out of uniform (contact lens solutions, etc like I do). I tend to think that would eliminate some of the heartaches.
