Cut it out before we lose KCM

Because all you're going to do is bitch about it. If you know your crew, friends or colleagues are doing RIDICULOUS things like this, belittle them until they stop.

It doesn't matter how you feel about it, rules is rules. Follow them or go through screening.

What are people, 12 year olds?!

The thing that people don't realize is that the second you scan your card, both the TSA and the company know immediately.

So when you're going to run to a bathroom, do the "superman" thing and come out in a uniform to avoid the random screening, you've not only red-flagged yourself to the TSA, you've also red-flagged yourself to your employer.

What an easily avoidable method of keeping your job and not having a FEDERAL OFFENSE on your record.

Not surprising. Not surprising at all. Nearly everything is a hassle to the entitled crewmember. The airport revolves around THEM.

So not in uniform selected can we still bring liquids or we need to superman and then liquids?

Lol I am just wondering if your selected to go through additional screening are they making you guys change

If you're selected for additional screening, you head to the checkpoint and screen as a normal passenger.

IF, in uniform, non-compliant liquids are ok.

If NOT in uniform, the liquids exemption does not apply.

You can't approach the checkpoint, be selected for additonal screening in civilian clothes, then run to another checkpoint or go change into your uniform as that would be a violation of the FARs and "you're not going to have a good time, mmm'kay?" :)

Are you sure? The TSA here in MSP is pretty adamant that you can bring your liquids through unless randomly selected in which case you'll have to give up all your liquids greater than 3 oz... LAX, they'll re-screen and allow you through the screening with all your stuff..

So... Not much consistency going on, and the way it's written it's not completely clear.

Yes, you can bring your non-compliant liquids through in street clothes, but if you're randomly selected you will encounter the same liquids restrictions as a normal passenger.

If LAX is permitting plain-clothed KCM members to have non-compliant liquids during random screening, they're in violation of their own rule.

Ya unnastand? :)

Yup.

b. Non-uniformed crewmembers, who are selected and receive random screening at the KCM access point, will continue to have exemptions.

So it basically means that if you're unlucky enough to be selected you're gonna have to throw that big ass tube of aquafresh away. #sorrynotsorry

As for LAX, they are special. But are we really surprised that the TSA is violating their own rules? It's like when I go to CVG and have to take my ID out of the plastic... It's the ONLY place in 'merica where they require that, but apparently (so they say) they're supposed to do it everywhere... Whatev's here's my ID.
