Current Lines?

Yeah I had a long one in LFT a few weeks ago too. In fact, I'm about to head out the door for another LFT turn then I get to go home for two days. How was the Chihuahua overnight?

LFT? BTR? SHV? Mexico? I'm starting to like Newark.

SkyWChris,

I seen your heading into RNO. That approach for 16R ILS still stumped me at the SkyWest Interview, any way I could get a copy of the one published for SkyWest?

Thanks,
Justin

CUU is an industrial Mexican town, meaning it's pretty crappy. We only had a short overnight there. There is a distinct smell when you get off the jet. It's all over the city. The hotel isn't too bad, but the beds are rock hard (typical Mexico). The hotel has an awesome buffet breakfast for us in the morning. Also, try the Chicken Tacos, but stay away from the Orange stuff. I now know what eating a blow torch feels like. Given the choice, I wouldn't bid it again. Morelia was nice, though.

Grammar police say "It's see, not seen."
Spelling police say "It's 'you're,' not 'your.'"

If you have the Jepp plate, you have what he, I, Doug, and the rest of the airline world are using. What's stumping you about it?

We have a special tailored approach into RNO: the Silver ILS. It takes us down to a 200' DH whereas the rest of the world has a 1200-ish foot DH. Not everyone has that approach- if you just order RNO plates from Jepp you won't get that approach. Don't know who all has it, but I'm assumming all the 121 carriers that operate in and out of there. I was breezing through the flightinfo forums and saw that it took a little while for the Silver ILS to get to the ASA crews flying in there. It caused a bit of havok when the weather systems were moving through the Sierras.

And... Jay, I don't have my plates at home... they stay in my flight bag which is locked in my locker at the airport. Sorry.

I do five on, nine off. GDL-LAX-GDL 930 go, back by 1700. Monday is positioning day with a commercial ticket. Work tues, weds, off thursday, work friday and then have a ticket home. It´s a good trip except for the hard mexican beds....sup with that?

During one of my nine off periods, the company sneaks in a two day filler trip that is usually pretty ugly.

That's a total of 12 days away from home in a 28 day period, which is fairly typical.

You don't work for Johnny "I'll Spend No Money" O. We don't get that plate, though my guess it's because we don't go in there anymore.
