CTI, Non-PEPC, with HR problems

Sorry if this has already been discussed as I don't read into the site too much but I'm here asking for a little advice. I recieved my initial contact from HR and employment inquiry (ZNY) on October 10th. I went for my interview at the end of November and received an e-mail from my HR rep on 12/01 saying she received a recommendation to hire. Since then, I've been told multiple times that I will be receiving a tentative offer and have the security systems opened up for me within the week. I finally was e-mailed one form about two weeks ago and have no heard anything since (e-mailed her several times.) Whenever I email her questions, it usually takes aout four different e-mails over the course of two weeks for an answer-and usually only half of it does get answered. Does everybody have this much trouble with HR (and I'm talking about after you've been told a facility and assigned a rep?) Should it be taking this long as well?

I understand with the holidays it may have slowed things down but can anyone give me any advice? Sorry if that came off sounding bossy or annoyed for my first post and I understand that some of you may be dealing with the same problems, I was just wondering if anybody had any advice. Thanks alot for any input, John.

I did the non-PEPC route as well and I had followed almost the same timeline as you. I got selected for my facility in October, had my interview in November, but I received my TOL early December. I wrapped everything up by very early January (delayed with some things due to the holiday). I got sick of waiting and made a phone call early this week and was told over the phone that all my clearances came back without incident and that I would be getting an FOL soon with a May 8th OKC date.

The advice I have gotten on here is to do stuff on the phone and do it often. People get lost in the paperwork for the Government (I mean, the new Treasuray Secretary didn't pay his taxes - it is easy to get lost in the paperwork :))

Get on the phone and get agressive!

I just walked over to HR, the very office where they all are. Had to drop off a form. Anyways, they were all very nice and friendly. And it is a very small office with tiny cubicles. Kind of interesting to see the office I've been picturing in my head for so long.

Agree 100%. This is what worked for me. I kept calling and calling and calling. I'm pretty sure they got annoyed with me, but hey, I got my stuff pushed through pretty quick.
