Where are all my crossfit people at.. I've been addicted since 08 after I was done wrestling in college.. Maybe share some WODs u all have done or are going to do

Hopefully starting this Summer at a reputable CF gym near where I live....a bit expensive though, but great people.

I'd love to join a gym, but sooo expensive. I can do 95% of the stuff at my work gym and its basically free after reimbursement. I just do what is posted to crossfit.com each day and if its a rest day I'll fill in with a previous workout or do some work on my weak areas.

Talk about humbling though, I thought I was in decent shape, started doing CF a bit ago and my new short/medium term goal is to be able to do the weights as prescribed for all movements and to be able to do toes to bars.

Anyone do the cf.com workouts each day?

I'm thinking about it. Trying to figure out how to flow it in with my running schedule. Right now, I do weights 3 days a week, but I've been considering the success of a well thought out cross training program. I don't really need cardio or resiliency. I get that in my running program, but I DO need flexibility and strength in my non-direct functions for running. Stuff like core muscles and basic strengthening for running posture. One of my friends loves Crossfit and swears it's the best for people like me who don't always work out in the same zip code.

Lately I have been doing a crossfit to warm up from my runs and it makes my ten mile run hell depending on how hard theWOD was. That is the only problem with crossfit is the people who started the gyms some are over 100 dollars a month and that's to rich right now for airline salary. But try doing a crossfit then ur normal run you will feel it

I'm not sure where the weights before or after normal training argument is these days, but I always do cross training and weights after I run. I don't do really heavy lifting, so technique during lifting after running isn't as difficult for me. In contrast, if I run after I lift, I have to spend the next 45+ minutes managing running technique in a weakened state. Coincidentally, technique often suffers when fatigue sets in. When faced with the choice of intense concentration to maintain proper form or shorten the workout, my decision is to run fresh. It's easier. I guess it would be different if running wasn't the focus or maybe lifting was THE focus for the day. Perhaps I would skip the run and maybe just ride the bike instead if I need to work my vO2.
