Crocs in Uniform??

I don't dig the square toes, although I can think of at least one guy at my airline who has those.

I have two pairs of these - http://www.ariat.com/HERITAGE_ROPER...ITAGE__ROPER__M__FOO_color=BLACK_ONYX#start=4 - one pair that I've had since HS that are all dinged up (but will still wear when knocking about on days off) and another pair that are in much better shape that I wear, shined, in uniform.

I'm about to buy a pair. I'm getting too old to tie laces, seriously.

@mojo6911 what's that slip-on shoe you linked a picture of? Are they pretty good?
These are what I wear now. Very comfortable. They do wear out fairly easy though. Mine are pretty scuffed up after about 3 years.

I like my boots. I have yet to meet a uniform shoe that was as comfortable, rain or shine, hot or cold, as my trusty Ariats. But your mileage may vary.

Oh I believe you. But I'm sure Crocs guy says the same thing about his shoes. I don't have a problem with the boot by itself, I just think it looks juxtaposed with a pair of dress slacks. Not that it's immediately noticeable, but when you see it, it seems odd. The uniform itself generally leans toward formal wear depending on configuration. In that sense, wearing a shoe that goes above the ankle is odd.

Hell, that boot advertises itself equipment for horsemen. That's rural, outdoors, blue-collar work. Work that you wouldn't do in creased wool slacks and pressed, white shirt with a tie.

Juxtaposed.

Eccos are wonderful. You won't be slipping around, soles protrude just a bit on the toe and heel area helping to protect them and they last. You can get a great shine to them and they are very well made. They are very comfortable.

my personal fave, the round toe:

I wore Ecco Helsinkis for several years. Super comfy, durable, and amazingly versatile.

Just picked up some Dr. Martens Salfords for a change of pace.

Funny, because pre-jet everyone was saying how different it is on this side. So far, it's been noticeably more chill than the Bro... at least in the training. My instructor is a 25 year vet from the Metro days. He flew the Bro too. Super chill and easy going. I hear things may not be as chummy on line, but hopefully that won't be the norm. The RJ crews I've jumped with have all been pretty personable.

Meh. The Dark Side is alluring on leg 7 of 8, we'll see. Some of it is the Embraer Superiority Complex. ("FOD...like birds, ice, and Canadair parts...")

How are the arch supports in the Eccos? Those are sharp-looking shoes that I might have to have a pair of.

First you go with the Field Marshall look with leather jacket, boots, and hat and NOW you are bitching about doing 8 legs a day in California with an APU, Autopilot, Bathroom, and Flight Attendant?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

I actually enjoyed my 7-leg day on Sunday. Pretty much a happy camper all the way around.
