Question for the CRJ operators out there:
Normally, the left 'control wheel' controls the left aileron, while the right 'control wheel' controls the right aileron (of course, they are connected normally through the torque tube).
What about spoileron control? Originally, I was taught that the right control wheel also controls the right spoileron and pressing the plt/coplt roll sel switch/light would give control of the left spoileron to the right control wheel (in the event of an aileron jam, pcu runaway, etc.).
However, today I was told just the opposite: That the right control wheel would control the left spoileron and would gain control of the right spoileron by selecting the coplt roll sel switch/light.
The systems manual I have is vague; pretty much just stating that pressing the plt/coplt roll sel switch/lights would give the operable side control of both spoilerons (which is true, and probably good enough for most people... but, I just want to know!) .
Anyone know which way it is??
