Crew Room question...

Haven't really kept track over the past month and a half. I'll start a "crew room" logbook though so I can more accurately answer your questions regarding my time spent in various locations.

How about you Ethan?

The hottest gossip down in Charlotte is when they're gonna open the Burger King in the E concourse

Is it really like the women's bathroom in highschool?

If you meant: cliquish for the most part, lots of gossip, crap talking, people hiding from those looking for them, and people smoking where they're not supposed to, then yes, very similar.

Yep that's what I meant :)

True that! you do not want to be on the end of the rumor stick....you'd be amazed at how fast things fly around. even quicker than the women's bathroom.

;)

How much time have you spent in the ASA crewroom in ATL?

I just heard a good one on the crew bus FROM the ASA crew room the other day. "Dude, the COO came in to my recurrent groundschool and said that we should know if we got the united flying sometime in the next 30 days"

Yeah, cause United is just growing like a weed!

It looks about to be ready when I was there last time. :p

In that case, when are they going to new place to eat at PHL's F concurse? :p

They are opening a Burger King in the E concourse?!?!? Holy crap, just as we move to the C gates....that sucks!

I'll trade ya back! Aren't the C gates soooo nice? Well, I think they're much better than the north ramp cluster#### and having zero (0!!) jetways.

I'm not a Mesa hater (mostly) but if you guys start the same crap Republic was about not having jetways...

You fly an RJ. Hence a jetway is something of a luxury. I understand that with the JungleBuses they don't have stairs and it can take a bit of time to get airstairs in place, but on the 900 there is no excuse.
:)

The other thing with the JumboShrimp, if you will, is the bottom of the door sill is 8'9" (per the placard) off the deck. While I've seen the fall down the jetbridge strairs or off the 145 stairs, I used to stand in the galley when we'd fly out of IAD in the winter with the metal stairs pulled up to the plane.

The scene is set as a lady in heels is trying to carry her 105# carryon up the stairs while not spilling her coffee, letting her newspaper slip out of her arm, and trying to keep her purse from falling off.
