Crazy MH370 Theory (Published in "New York Magazine")

There was an old episode of The Twilight Zone, from back when Kennedy airport was called Idlewild. Anyhow, that airplane went through some kind of time-space continuum and was lost in time. I think that's what happened to MH370.

One of my favorite episodes! If I remember right, Rod Serling had a friend or relative who was an airline pilot who consulted on the writing to make sure that they got the dialogue as realistic as possible. It showed. Makes most aviation stuff on TV look like amateur hour.

Rod Serling's brother, Robert Serling, was a UPI reporter on aviation-related matters and an author in his own right, including I believe The President's Plane is Missing back in the mid to late '60s.

Wasnt there another movie where an entire Carrier task force went back in time to 1941 and stumbled upon the attach on Pearl? I remember F14s were trying to engage a bunch of Zeros but they had to fly back to the carrier before the worm hole closed.
Final Countdown -1980. My son's high school band still plays that song during football season

These are the same Russians that not only can't keep their proxypesants from shooting down an airliner, but then also can't keep the unfriendly locals from taking video of the launcher as it vamoosed?

I've always felt that someday a surfer or beach comber will find some washed up wreckage, but it's still too early for that to happen.

My theory is that the pilots disabled everything, somehow depressurized the aircraft to where everyone passed out and set the plane down in the ocean and it sank to the bottom, or ISIS has the plane and is using it for something big

You can't take a jetliner with 239 people and make it disappear without a single peep from them. If any of them were alive and they landed somewhere, they would gotten a cell call out, iPad message, note in a bottle, anything that would have let someone know they were ok / in trouble.

As much as we all hate to say it, this thing crashed and everyone aboard is dead.
