Crashpad occupants who think the place for full-time living

Re: Crashpad occupants who think the place for full-time liv

6 on 1 off should be a violation of some kind of human right. I doubt the kids in Cambodia have it that bad. Give up 6 FULL days for the company and only get 24hours off? That's insane.
Yep, and her reserve window goes to 10pm, so even it she wanted to get home she would have to do it on her day off and then be back by 10am the following morning.
I was just doing her taxes and when I looked at her W2 I was like "Wow, what a waste of life, spending it up there for this low pay!"

Re: Crashpad occupants who think the place for full-time liv

It is absolutely my business.
Unless you own the place, it is none of your business. Maybe she provides a service to the owner for special rate.
If you sit around worrying about what everyone else does in life you'll have a heart attach/nervous break down.

It is absolutely my business.

If I am paying X amount of rent for the agreement that I only use the place 4 to 6 nights a month like everyone else does and there is another occupant living there full time but pays the same amount I do, it is not fair to me.

I'm laughing my ass off.

No it isn't. Feeling entitled today?

Took you awhile to respond, so at least you are flying, or doing something else with your time than spending it on a message board like me :bandit:

Re: Crashpad occupants who think the place for full-time liv

Ah, crash pad drama :)

That's part of the reason I got out of crash pad management!

Generally speaking, there are understood "rules" for a crashpad. Regarding such things as room sharing, cleaning duties, how many nights one spends there, whether or not spouses/guests are allowed. The more clear cut those "rules" are, the less amount of drama there is.

Maybe Jace's crashpad has an understanding that people don't "live" there? I don't really know!

Re: Crashpad occupants who think the place for full-time liv

Yeah...still thinking that it's between the girl and the crashpad owner/operator. Period.

I bet, Jace, if you took it up with the owner/operator, that person may tell you the same thing. Not attacking you because I can see that it's frustrating, but I just don't think you have a leg to stand on if the o/o thinks is okay.

She probably set up a pair of Bose speakers. :buck:

Re: Crashpad occupants who think the place for full-time liv

It's called "working the system" Jace...she is currently basically living in NYC for $250/month..until the owner steps in, it is what it is! And with you there only 4-6 times a month, how do you know she's always there?

Wait wait wait

$250/month living with a bunch of people you don't know, if there are 3 other people isn't 1 grand low end rent in that shi..city?

Why are people so up in arms about this.

I know she's always here because she told me she lives here until she gets off of reserve (which won't be for a LONG time).

There are a few comments that I could reply too... I'm just too busy to respond to them. As much as a disagree with some of them I think they are pretty funny. :)

Again, nunya...except the bathroom part. The solution is easy.

Step 1: Remove bathroom door or door lock.
Step 2: Acquire egg timer.
Step 3: Fill bucket with cold water and ice cubes.
Step 4: Wait for timer to ding.
Step 5: Empty contents of bucket onto showering chickie from over the top of the shower curtain rod.

The problem will either be solved, or you'll have something to do to entertain you until she leaves.

Re: Crashpad occupants who think the place for full-time liv

IMO, saying "It's my business b/c I paid XXX and she's paying XXX but is there all the time" makes about as much sense as two passengers fighting over who paid more for their seats.

It's b/w her and the owner.

Re: Crashpad occupants who think the place for full-time liv

so...who said life was fair??

it's between her and the owner, you have nothing to do with the price she's paying.

It that upsets you, wait until you read the U.S. tax code.

Dude it really isn't your place. You don't own the crashpad.

Re: Crashpad occupants who think the place for full-time liv

You got two maybe three options...

1. Sack up and mind your own business.

2. Move out.

3. Drink until you don't care anymore.

Regional pilots must have drama. . .of some sort. . .

Re: Crashpad occupants who think the place for full-time liv

was in a crash pad for 6 months last year. We had one male FA who essentially lived there.... though he was always gone on his off days... he sat rsv and didnt fly much so he was around alot.

We had three airtran FA's who were almost never there, which was a shame because they were NOT modest at all... we come prancing into the kitchen in their crop tshirt and panties thinking nothing of it....

We had a FAA type guy who worked 4 days a week ... so he was there those days then commuted home for his three off every week....

then three pilots..... I held a line 4 of those 6 months... so was only in the pad a few nights a month.... but the two rsv months I was there about 12 nights a month... once went 6 on rsv with no call out.... was there the whole time....
the other two pilots were there 8-10 nights a month......

place was always clean....three bathrooms.....

Id say lay down the law over keeping the place clean but other than that.... get a freaking life dude.
