Yeah, when we got initial word, and details were sketchy, we all held our breath, The lesson I had after I heard this was a complete waste of time because this was all I could think about in the air. I turned a 2 hr. block into about .3 in the air. I just coulden't hack it. That whole I.M.S.A.F.E. thing keeps comming to mind. You know this guys CFI well too.
 
The news here in BFL is reporting that the identity is still unconfirmed but they are saying it was owned by a local veternarian. Aircraft was reported as a Harmon Rocket. For those of you that knew him, my condolences. RIP.

BORREGO SPRINGS — A pilot who was killed when his experimental single-engine airplane crashed Thursday shortly after taking off from the Borrego Valley Airport has been identified as Dr. Vandell Ellis Snow, a veterinarian from Santa Ynez in Santa Barbara County.
