Nobody is saying those with the vaccine are immune (if they are they are uninformed or lying), and the data supports the vaccines being safe and effective at what it was intended to do: prevent serious illness, hospitalization, and/or death from COVID19. Within the current surge those who experience hospitalization or death from COVID has been something like 99% unvaccinated individuals.... Finally, don't feed me the line that the vaccinated are immune, they can and will get SARS-COV-2. It is a wing and a prayer that it will keep someone vaccinated but with other underlying health conditions from ending up in the hospital.
UA requiring employees to vaccinate is a PR move to keep people on their airplanes this fall and winter. It's unfortunate for those who don't want to get the vaccine, I believe everybody should have a choice in the matter, however the vaccines are safe and United has every right to do this - it is not unprecedented. It is what it is.
