The liability will be 100% on the employee. Will United assume liability for employees that experience negative side effects?

They say their vaccine is 93% effective for 6 months. It will be a twice a year booster. These probably arent the last or only vaccines for this virus. Pfizer and Moderna are both saying theirs are likely a yearly vaccine for the rest of eternity with random vaccines thrown in if a variant is found to be resistant. I think when that realization becomes widespread is when these issues will be taken up the unions. A one time deal is much different than a lifetime one.

This virus will never go away. There will be some immunity built up like we have with the flu. A yearly shot for those with weakened immune systems or those who want to lessen impact of the virus. But to make it mandatory for employees to get it is ridiculous. You might be right. It is currently unknown how many for sure but Pfizer and Moderna both say at least one per year is likely. The focus has been on getting everyone the current vaccines in the hope that it ends the need for restrictions. In reality its becoming clear that this is a long term problem.
Seems like some of us may have less competition when they have another opening.

It’s not experimental. So, we have the government and the private sector mandating an experimental vaccine on the masses, but washing their hands of it if something goes wrong.
It’s not experimental.
It hasn't. Targeted early next month for full approval of Pfizer's vaccine.Oh, I didn't know it finally got FDA approval?

Read the actual language.
It’s only mandatory pending approval. And once it’s fully approved, it’s no longer ”experimental”.
You don’t have to stop dispatching, you can either get a vaccine or seek similar employment at another shop.
Union workers should be protecting fellow union workers' lives first. I don't understand why mandating this vaccination (especially once it is fully approved) is such a controversial issue. Vaccine mandates have existed for decades. So you want people from low risk groups to be fired for not taking a vaccine when in most cases they would have had no symptoms or minor symptoms regardless of vaccine and it does nothing to stop them from spreading it to others? Union workers are supposed to be united with their union brothers, not actively cheering management on firing union workers. Covid has fried too many brains.
It’s authorized by the FDA. It’s gone through the same amount of testing phases that “FDA full approval” gets. If it was still in the testing phase it would be considered “experimental.” It’s not.Oh, I didn't know it finally got FDA approval?
