Counting Down Hours

So I picked up a bad habit from a few past instructors. When they were getting close to the end, I mean the 1000 hour mark, each day it was 200 left, then 190 left. The problem is I thought about it today, I never thought about it when I was a student, but my students may feel like, hey thats great, but I should be your focus (which they are), but I mean I am so close it feels so good. Any thoughts?

On the day I logged my 1000th hour, which was day before yesterday by the way, I stopped at exactly 1000.0. I know what you mean! Now I have a whopping 1004.9 yeee haw! Only 195.1 to go!

I was counting down as well to 1200/500 xcty. Not publicly, ie on my desk but to myself. I've just past 1500 TT and a little over 220 multi and I'm couting down the 500 xcty >50nm for the ATP... I suppose everyone does it to some extent or another at one time.
