As a newly minted private pilot I was able to do the "shuttle tour" over Cape Canaveral/Kennedy Space Center. You would call before KTIT and they would clear you to stay west of the shuttle docking facility, head north over the shuttle landing runway (15,000ft) and if I remember correctly the only restriction over the runway was don't let your wheels touch it. Slow flight 50 feet off the deck..........woowee!
