Should I bring my pots and pans to the appartments, or are the facilities for making food ok?

Also, how is the fridge space.

(good food is one of my hobbies)

Good food, you mean Cheerios and Milk (judging by your avtar)?

There are pots and pans in the apartments... HOWEVER, they may not be up to the standard that you may be used to for cooking a fine gourmet meal.

For Macaroni & Cheese or Ramen, they work just fine

It gave me flash backs of my dorm while I was studying in Germany.

I think you can get by with the pots and pans that are available at the apartments. If you do have a problem, just tell your instructor that there is a problem (with anything) because they are required to keep the apartments in good standing. At my location, one of the televisions broke and we just went out and bought a new one. As far as refrigerator space, that is going to depend on how full the apartment is. If it is at full capacity you will have a small section for your food. For the most part, it won't be a problem because there normally is a comfortable number of students in any one apartment at any given time. Another words........don't worry about it.

It is from my 2 years abroad in Deutschland living in Freiburg. If you look closely you can see the "süddeutsche Zeitung" woman behind me...

There was TONS of food in the fridge when I got in. Granted, most of it was expired last month

but I as far as making room, it shouldn't be a problem. As for pots and pans... Pretty much everything you need is there.

what about bedding? Should I bring my ducky quilt and pillow case? And what are the facilities for doing laundry- is there a card system like in college? or is it quarters?

you need your own bedding, and at least in the dallas apts, there is a washer and dryer in the apartment, so it doesnt cost anything to wash your clothes.

du brauchst nichts zu essen. alles gibt im wohnung. Wie geht es mit dem program. alles gut bei der fliegshule? ich will auch mit atp studieren, aber ich muB zuerst mehr geld sparen. In welchem Stadt bleibst du ?

update from a note to Tim06:

the sim is 80s technology, a black and white monitor thats very "boxy" and 80s comms/navs. HOWEVER BEFORE YOU POOPOO IT.... it was responsible for 5 hours of pain today of engine outs (I crashed us twice just being stupid) maneuvers, and approaches partial panel with engine failures just short of the #$%$#% final approach fix. Along with that, my instructor now is on " hurry up mode" with everything, so when the [expletive deleted] hits the fan at the FAF I start to sweat. WOOHOO, now thats something MSFS2004 cannot offer!

I am very glad its 6:15 and I can go home and nurse my battle wounds. The fun begins again tomorrow at 9! I don't know how these multi pilots do it, quite a bit more respect.

Other than that, everything is good here, except my instructor keeps insisting on going out to dinner, and has gotten us some free meals around the area (hahaaa, its not what you know, its who ya know?). Coming out of the first week, I am enjoying the program and my instructoer here very much, having loads of fun working my butt off...
