Cooking on the Flightdeck

I remember hearing this story at a BBQ at a friend's house who charged people to park in his driveway during football games. I love telling this story to coworkers, the kind of stuff that made that airline so special back in the day; when a captain buddy could sit ready reserve wearing sweatpants, if he wasn't asleep on his air mattress.
I don't wear pants on reserve.

I don't understand the cheapness of airline pilots making six digit salaries and getting per diem. Meals are what per diem is for. Use it. Live a little. :-)

On the other hand, I've read that airline pilot is one of those few jobs where you can make a lot of money, but not really have to know much about making money, which is why you have broke airline pilots.

Never mind. Carry on.

I Could just see billy mays in a infomerical for some portable grill or oven saying HI BILLY MAYS HERE FOR THE COCKPIT CROCKPOT. IT EVEN COOKS AT 40 THOUSAND FEET IN THE AIR!! Just put it on the jumpseat, plug it in, and in just minutes you can emjoy a plane cooked meal just like you would at home. It easily plugs into the 110v power outlet in your in cockpit power system. With enough food for all the flights you fly you will save hundreds on food and never buy airport food again!!

Eh, it would be nice to pocket some of that 700 a month, and eating out honestly starts to suck, but eating gross questionable food from an ice pack also sucks...

BUT WAIT THERES MORE!! ORDER NOW and ill include the minimums mini fridge!!! Small enough to stow under the jumpseat while large enough to store all your favorite drinks. Just put it under the jumpseat and plug it into the 110v power outlet in your cockpit. For airbus flyers it even comes with a european LEMO adapter which you plug into the jumpseat headset jack for power. With minimal power draw and a LEMO adapter you can enjoy a cold minifridge up front while the folks in back say WE HAVE NO GALLEY POWER!! BOTH the cockpit crockpot and the minimums minifridge are STCd and approved for flight. If needed, our customer service staff can get your airline an FOM exemption for in cockpit use. So order today and enjoy a tasty in flight meal tomorrow!!

Its a new show of his called Outstations, Domiciles, and Layovers.
Ok now what your gonna wanna do it plug in the oven, now this takes ALOT of power when you use it so we will need to run it off the APU generator. Just like a campfire only instead of a fire its an APU driven oven and instead of sticks and kindling its Jet A. It preheated during sterile so by the time we get to FL320 that chicken will be ready to serve. And for descent we have a lemon meringue pie which should be ready by the time we hit TOD.

Its the new smoke generator in the sims. Instead of an inflight fire, the cake gets overbaked and starts smoking sending sweet sugar fumes into the cockpit. The only way to put it out is to use a extinguisher on it. Also DONT try to change the lightbulb heating element as you may burn your hand and it triggers the sparks in the cockpit LOFT scenario.
