Considering ATP flight school for pilot training at 34 (no experience)

As you know, I'm 200 lbs. They don't climb, especially with anybody else in the plane. Fun airplane solo, though.:D

Heh. I weighed about 155 when I got my PPL.

Weigh a lot more than that now. Probably wouldn't be as fun to solo. :-)

I think you should attack a better profession with the same tenacity and confidence.

If you were to say I WILL be a doctor, I AM DOING THIS!
Like you have said about aviation 4 great things will happen for you.

1. You will have the $ to eat sleep and pay back your student loans, buy your own airplane, and fly for fun. (Trust me hauling bodies and boxes gets old fast)

2. You will have enough $ and free time to fly pretty much any GA airplane you want for reasons of pleasure instead of hauling around a bunch of people who are going on vacation whilst you remain at the airport.

3. You will still have a job if you have a bad medical or become diagnosed with something preventing you from flying.

4. You will save $ because with the new ATP regs you will spend less becoming a DR.

Sure you can become a CFI like me and several others have but I always worked a full time job because CFI does not pay enough to survive.

I currently employ 3 CFI's and they all have other day jobs.
