Did they have the correct endorsement for the solo flights? They just didn't put the flight maneuvers in the remarks? I know a lot of schools follow a syllabus which is logged outside of a logbook. They may have covered the training, but not put it in the logbook. As long as the endorsement is there, they should be good to go correct?
The required endorsements were all present, but the instructor didn't teach several of the items in 61.93 before sending the student on their solo XC, so the instructor signed an endorsement saying they'd given training that hadn't occured.
The logbook entries clearly show the problem (i.e. there's no hood time logged anywhere until after the solo XC), and when I asked the student about those items, he confirmed that those areas were only taught after the solo cross country.
