Just for the record, I was his instructor and I taught HIM well :)

its cold man. just when things were warming up and people were looking forward to spring it went and got cold. -23F this morning. oh well i love the flying so...
oh and those d*mn students trying to teach us stuff. come on i know everything.

well, just went through day 1 of here at ExpressJet. AWESOME company!! I have nothing but positive things to say about this company.

We were gathered together with Pilots and Flight Attendants for day 1.
Met the CEO, COO, etc., went over benefits, company outlook, and how great of a company this is. Really nice people.

There is 16 people in my class. I am partnered with my roommate in our hotel room. And get this, his name is Mike....lol... how funny is that. He is also my sim partner.

This week is Indoc. Then we get the weekend off.
Week 2: Monday and Tuesday - CRM, last three days - Systems; weekend off.
Week 3: Monday - Systems, Tuesday - FTD, etc. alternating
The rest is questionable.

All I can say is if you wanna be a flight attendant, ExpressJet is hiring like mad for flight attendants. We had 16 pilots and about 35-40 flight attendants in our conference room today.

Got to study flows and FOM. Thought you guys might wanna see this info.

Outstanding!!! Keep me updated on your progress. Let me if know if its really like drinking water from a fire hydrant. Take care and good luck!!

Lui

ok... heres the update now.

I just passed our indoc test yestruday. Next week is CRM and systems. I havent studied this much in my whole life. I slept for 12hrs last night. We have today (sat.) and tomorrow off. Then back to class on Monday.

There is so much crap to learn. Like 3585, crew rest scedules, everything... holy crap. We are supposed to have to flows down already, but most of us dont. I should have them down by Wed, the start of systems.

Our instructor is really good. Everyone around here is awesome. We got to meet Houstons cheif pilot and assistant cheif pilot, they brought pizza for lunch. Then ALPA came by and they brought pizza too. Great people here. All I can say is get your time up, get your application in online and get on with this company. Nothing but positive things to say. I have not yet had any problems yet, or have met anyone with a bad attitude. Everyone loves being here and working for ExpressJet.

Oh, and hiring is to continue through July (it was supposed to be May, but they really need alot of pilots). They are loosing alot to CAL. CAL has been taking Captians and FOs.

Just replying so I can subscribe to the thread.

Interested to hear it all!

Belated congrats by the way.

hey I am based in CLE. I will be moving to Houston though in July.

Also, see if you guys can spot the ground speed I took a picture of the other day? :D We had a 164knot tail wind at one point.

Ivan

That's moving pretty fast there, Ivan!

At least you'll be moving away from having to see those Key Bank buildings every day!!!!!

565knots!! that equals to about 620mph, i think.... at one point, our ground speed was 595knots!!

ok, im done. :)

That's nothing. Just the other day I got the Partenavia up to 175ish. So, deal with that Ivan. Plus a lady outside our motel in El Cajon asked me if I "wanted a date". So as you can see, I'm devilishly handsome as well.
