Complex and high performance question

Brother, that's for you computer guys. I love my glass airplanes, but I can't leave my paper logs. 17 years is a lot of time to convert. If you want, I'll let you do all the entries for free!!:rawk:

You know, you could do both. Stick with the paper for the 17 years you've already got and then do it electronically going forward.

That way you can be old school and new school at the same time.

If you like paper, then stick with it. But there's no reason you can't go electronic starting with your next flight.

My paperbook won't get a virus, miss place a file, nor have a crashed harddrive. I spend about 10 minutes every couple months updating it. That's it.

Ahhh, but what about backups you ask...I have my red book, which also keeps a handy dandy daily running total of how much they have to pay me, as well as my monthly flight time.

I did use the ADPL on my palm, but it just don't work for my line of work anymore. At least I can't get it to work, so eh...forget about it....

My $.02

Hey, I'm not saying you have to go with an electronic logbook, but from your previous post it looked like you wanted to.

All I'm saying is that if you want to, you can go with paper for the past and then electronic going forward.

I thought about it, but when I looked into it, just maintaining it looked like more work than I wanted to do.

If I started flying today, there's no way I'd have a paperbook. Such that it is, I don't see myself switching until if have too.
