Does Skywest still have a TUS base? Only a 1.5 hr drive from Phoenix.

Tucson is also a very senior base for SKW, it would probably take a long time to get there.

Yes it's very small though. About 15ish crews...Does Skywest still have a TUS base? Only a 1.5 hr drive from Phoenix.

I will again recommend Penair. We need FO's in PDX. It's not a terrible schedule, fun flying, there is supposed to be a pay raise coming in August, and it's an 80 hour guarantee for Portland. Not to mention the $50 per diem for each overnight. That's an extra $600 per month minimum.
I wish. It would be awesome if we did. Will they pay for all my ratings? If so, sign me up, seriously!
If you are offered a choice of equipment you are frozen in that status for two years. So this interview is getting closer and I am feeling as prepared as I can be for it. I know the joke is get a mirror and fog it, you will be in. As funny as that is, I am still nervous and taking it very seriously. Now for my follow up question...
I have made the decision to stay in PDX. My lady has a decent job here that she is progressing up in the ranks, so moving will be hard on her. With that being said, I really dread commuting. My personality is one that stresses being early and hate it when i am just "on time". That has proven to lower my qol at home previously as a commuter as I would constantly stress about loads and flights delaying or canceling. So I am going to tell them I want the ERJ, not because of the airframe but the base I want to end up in. In all reality the CRJ seems like a better deal with less time on reserve and all, however the stress of commuting for two years no matter what negates the pros of choosing the CRJ. The recruiter told me that there is now a waiting list for ERJ classes. Is there truth to that?
Now you can make them get off the lawn and shovel the driveway. If you are offered a choice of equipment you are frozen in that status for two years.
Also, what happened to taking the first available class? Damn kids nowadays...

In 100.0% of domiciles with the shiny jet, we also operate the Skidoo Jet.Is this where I get the entitlement generation, never worked for anything, free loader speech??
Honestly, I would take the first class available but if they are offering the equipment that allows me to drive to work, why not?

You (probably) won't be getting PDX as an ER7 new hire then anyway. At least, not until all the CRJ pilots there get their shot at the transition. In PDX the CRJ goes bye bye in Novemeber, or so I'm told.
Do not pick the ERJ, unless you want to sit reserve and continually fall backwards in seniority. Then again, with the deliveries coming up who knows...So this interview is getting closer and I am feeling as prepared as I can be for it. I know the joke is get a mirror and fog it, you will be in.
