I have interviews with CommutAir (Skype), Mesa (phone) and Piedmont (in-person) pretty soon. This is going to be my first dispatcher job so if anyone who has interviewed with these airlines could please pm me, I would love to ask a few questions. Thank you.

I did a phone interview with Mesa years ago after I got my license. The lady that called me really sounded like she didn't care about the questions or answers I was giving. It was awkward, but mostly generic HR type questions. I got an offer out of the blue from the same lady (who had a much different tone this time), but had about a weeks notice to get to PHX. I declined and I can honestly say I feel that was a good decision.

Commutair is super chill. Pretty straightforward no curveballs. If you get hired your boss will be the coolest one you ever had. Don’t stress it

Pretty sure the folks at PDT will give "chill" a run for your money; I've got family in Wicomico County and that part of MD is awesome already.

As far as a first shop, they're a great step in to the industry, and ever since they went all-jet last year or whenever it was, I've heard nothing but positive reviews. The Dash was always an adventure. It's all about attitudes.

Piedmont was very laid back and informal. Super easy dispatch questions that anyone with an adx could answer. I also was given a basic geography quiz. I think we spent the majority of the interview talking about traveling.
