Well, keep in mind that a whole bunch of traders and computers are making exactly the same bets - some of these signals do become a self fulfilling prophecy for that reason alone.

None of which makes it profitable enough to beat the market. The studies are clear on that.

If you're buying for the same time frames and mentality, no. It is 100% different than investing. And most fail due to discipline, not necessarily method.
