Greetings and a Happy New Year to All!!!

As a long time lurker (+/- 2 years) I've decided to finally start posting on the off chance that my $.02 might have some value to some. I've gotten a great deal of info, entertainment and even my current job from the JC community and hope to pass some of that yummy goodness on to others. Details to come if requested, but in a nutshell- 37, 3500TT mostly 135 piston MEL freight puppy (recently graduated to Falcon 20 freight dog status -thanks to JC) been around the block once, got an opinion of most stuff. Wide open-minded (dem drugs in the 80's) except about flying pax-won't do it again cause people (and TSA)suck.
A non-linear flying career, extraordinary luck, and the realization that every other job make me miserable almost made me title this post "How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Aviation".

My disconnected, beer-induced rambling will now end. I have to study and go back to GS in the morning.

Thanks everybody for the warm welcome. Looking forward to intelligent and spirited debates and discussions... will settle for drinking buddies though. Wife & I (hopefully kills any speculation) live near Belleville.

Welcome, Spasekace! Former Freight-Dawg turned regional type here. Glad to have you aboard!

Warning - there are a few people here that are very bitter and angry, and they don't take kindly to folks loving this gig that we do. Nevermind them - pay attention, though. It's a bit contagious, and it's almost the "cool" thing to do around here!

That being said, most of us here love JC, and many of us have made a lot of great, lifelong friends here. Kick back, enjoy, and remember - the bar is always open! ;)

Once again.... thanks for the welcome!

I'm not going to worry about the naysayers. been in & out of this crazy business for nearly 16 years. The words "positive rate" still put a grin on my face that'll overcome any whining anybody can throw at me. Sure there's a thousand things we put up with that suck and are unfair and make me want to cry. BUT. no matter which way you slice it, it's still the greatest job in the world. I know where I'm going (Hi Polar742:D), I'm pretty sure I'm on the right track, and I've got an incredibly supportive better half.
