Commercial Written

Okay, I'm finally doing the Commercial. One question. I'm not sure if I will be doing it in gliders or airplanes first. I already have the hours to do it in gliders, so that seems to make the most sense, though it does mean an extra written exam. I have about 200 TT (powered A/C).

Should I just go ahead and do both the Glider and Airplane Comm written at the same time? I guess there is some slim chance I may do the Commercial ASEL first, but unlikely. I'll probably be working on the CFI-G while building time for the Comm-ASEL. Since I need to knock out those 50 hours anyway, I figure that is enough time to get the CFI-G.

Last question, does multi time count towards the 10 hours complex time I need? 61.129 doesn't say the complex time needs to be single engine or PIC (I have some dual multi time, it may save me a few bucks)

Yes because the multi engine is a complex aircraft. Im doing all my commercial stuff in the single strait leg cessna. Taking the last 20 hours 230-250 in the Duchess, and taking the multi commericial +IFR checkride. Then taking the single engine commercial. When I take the single engine commercial I can do it in a strait leg, because I already have demonstrated the use of complex systems. I do not think it has to be PIC. [I guess thats what you are asking]
